Périgueux (pronunciation) (in Occitan: Peireguers [pejɾeˈɣɥes/pejɾeˈgœː] or Periguers [peɾiˈɣɥes/peɾiˈgœː]) is a commune in the Dordogne department in Aquitaine in southwestern France.
Périgueux is the prefecture of the department and the capital of the region. It is also the seat of a Roman Catholic diocese.
